As one of the most important cities, Changzhou
is located in Shanghai Economic Circle, the largest and most developed
region in China, which covers the Yangtze River Delta and other areas
along the Yangtze River. Changzhou
National Hi-Tech District (CND), a national industrial development
area approved by the State Council, was established in August 1992.It
lies in the northern part of Changzhou City, very close to the Yangtze
River. After 12 years' development, CND has made notable achievements:
it not only has built complete infrastructure facilities and perfect
supporting services, but also has formed a strict legal system. Undoubtedly,
CND has become one of the investment spotlights for foreign investors
in China. With the certificate of
ISO14001, CND has attracted many overseas investors. Up to now, over
7,000 enterprises have registered in the District, of which 3,7000
are industrial enterprises and about 600 are overseas-invested companies.
CND prioritizes the following industries such as chemical, environment
protection, electronic information, software and new materials etc.
An Electronics Technology Industrial Park and the Torch Program Software
Park have been established in the District. |
